Nineteen eighty-two, and these things were built like bricks. You could throw one across the room and it came back fine.

This is where we keep the Masters of the Universe. Mattel's original run, when every figure came packed with a mini-comic you read once and then lost forever. Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain when we can get them. Classics and Origins from the modern lines, for the shelf you actually display.

A word on the vintage ones: the rubber band inside the waist gives out eventually. If a figure has gone soft in the middle, we say so and we price it that way. We photograph the actual item, every time.

We're still filling this shelf. If you've been chasing something since 1985, tell us.
