Batman: Year Two — DC Designer Edition by Todd McFarlane, Gold Label, Sealed

If you were buying comics in the late 80s, you remember what happened when Todd McFarlane started drawing Batman. The cape stopped being a cape. It became weather.

This is that cape, in plastic. McFarlane's DC Designer Edition Batman: Year Two, from the Gold Label Collection — the oversized figure with the enormous sculpted cloak and the brown grave-marker cross, straight off his Year Two artwork. The whole point of the piece is the silhouette.

Condition — straight talk: Sealed. Never opened, window intact, figure and cross still in the tray. The box has light shelf handling on the corners, nothing torn or crushed. Box code 080221FL.

McFarlane Toys, 2021. A Gold Label release, which is the part collectors care about — these were not general-run.
